Bitumen Modification

LyondellBasell customers are increasingly using Catalloy process resins, such as Adflex, as additives for bitumen modification in roofing applications. Adflex resins are characterized by a broad range of temperature resistance from very low to elevated temperatures that improves the cold bending property of bitumen even after thermal and UV ageing.

Lucalen is a trade name from LyondellBasell known for its ethylene/acrylic acid/acrylate copolymers and ethylene/butyl/acrylate copolymers and is also used by customers as a modifier for bitumen and other applications.
